knotty hair part deux

Wow, I cant believe that it is soo long since my last post! February has been a killer! you would think that I would be back in the groove after the holidays but to tell you the truth I still yearn to crawl back into a warm bed and sleep through february! With the Transmission going out in our only vehicle right before Christmas, and making it through that with the help of some good friends and family! till getting ready for my "real job" to kick in, I work for a youtheatre group and we are preforming the Wizard Of Oz next month and we have to get almost 300 costumes ready! My life has really just been a blur and ponytails! so bare with me and hopefully I can get back to the swing of things!
So here we took yesterdays knots and pulled them back into pigtails, It was a super easy 2day hair do!
of course I added some bows to finish it off.
and you are done!

2nd day curly hair!

We had Baby Mermaids hair up in Curlformers Yesterday and it still had some nice curl left so we did just simple pigtail today check it out!

This is what it looked like when she woke up! nasty I know but we combed carefully not to brush out all the curl

Parted the hair in two sections and did a lowish pigtail. added some bows and....

Your done I love under five minute hair dos on a school morning!

day five hair challenge!

This is day Five, this will be the last day of my hair challenge but to tell you the truth she wore her hair like this for 2 days! wahooo! I feel like a hair recycler to the max!

So we took her hair out of the french braided bun and It would of looked similar to this but I cheated, washed her hair and triple barrelled it while we were watching t.v. but You could still get the same look by just upbraiding hair and touching up with a crimper or triple barrel, I just couldn't deal with dirty hair any more! LOL

If you remember we had a crooked part to start with so I just took a square off of that part and then the two side sections, hooked them up in elastics, and then pulled them through with a Topsy tail! easy peasy!

Here she is from the front! thanks for reading my hair challenge for the week! I had a great time and I hope to do this again soon!

Day 3 hair challenge!

Here is the picture of her hair day three before we started

Yuck! glad I do my kids hair in the morning!

I just re combed her hair and put in new elastics, this time though I just put in the four pigtails I didn't hook in the top to the bottom ones...yet

Now I took the top pigtail braided it in two, and then hooked the braids to the bottom pigtails by crossing the middle ones!

Added bows of course!

and here she is out the door for the day!

my hair challenge day 2

I know how busy the holidays are and if your like me you are running a mile a minute but I still wanted my little girlie to look cute so I thought I would do a hair challenge!
I wanted to see how many days I could recycle a hair do, so this is day 2,

Day one hair after she woke up, I didn't get a picture of day one! sorry, but it was just a crooked part with long hair in the back and little pigtails with bows,

Now I have re-combed day one hair and am starting on day 2

I kept the crooked part going and put it in low pigtails

added some big Christmas bows

and she was out the door
see ya tomorrow

french braids (2nd day hair)

This is our second day hair, yesterday we did a Braided bun with fantails and today I took out the pony tail and then re-braided the front part of her hair again, then I split the back into pigtails and french braided them down, when I got half way down, I pulled the braid from the front into the french braid and then just continued all the way to the bottom.
Here is a pic of me adding the front braid to the french braid!
side view
back view, I should really go to bed earlier that is one crooked part!

from the front! what a cute baby Mermaid
in the back with puff balls
I love these bows they are one of my faves!
For all of you who are waiting with baited breath for pics of our school pic hair.... Its not going to happen, To Cool for Hair just had a fairytale braid in her hair. Then with the crying and the curling and the spraying and the trying to find a clean (dress code) shirt for baby mermaid, I found out that morning that she had been putting her school shirts back into her drawers dirty so she didn't have to carry them to the laundry! Well, needless to say I didn't take pics of their hair before they went out the door.... but don't worry I will no doubt be getting retakes so I can have a pic of Baby Mermaid with a clean shirt on!

A pretzel with puffballs (2nd day hair)

When baby Mermaid woke up this morning this is what we had! well, I don't think any of us would send our kids to school with this so we did a quick second day do on her! I took out 1 side at a time hair sprayed and combed her hair back into pigtails, then I braided the fluff down, this is just a basic braid.

Then I hooked the bottom of each braid up to the other pigtail (to get your elastic around the end of the second pigtail, put an extra elastic on the base of the pigtail before you start!)

Then we ran upstairs and curled her hair and fluffed it out a bit, I was calling these fantails but Baby Mermaid said she wanted puffballs all week and I think that is there new name!

from the front with some little bows

and the back! Your all done and out the door for school!

twisted ropes, into a french braid

Before I start hair blogging remember to enter here for free bows because of my 100th sale!
I know that no Idea is totally original, but I think I came up with this today! this is a second day hair do, yesterday Baby Mermaid had this hair
So I took her hair out combed it and put it in three ropes along the front, these are going to start your french braid.
Then I did three ropes along each side (parted down the middle)

Then starting with the front three ropes I started my french braid and instead of pulling sections from each side I just added a rope!

Then I took out all of the extra elastics, made a fan tail by hooking the braid into a tiny loop and flat ironed her hair to give it a little fluff

added a bow,

and sent her off to school, she wanted to show you all her wild thing that she made in school yesterday his name is batmonkey, And we love him (she made me say that)

2nd day hair (crimps and braids)

Little mermaid had her hair up in pigtails with diamonds yesterday and so today she wanted crimps and braids. this is what we did.As I took her hair out of elastics, I crimped each section
Crimped up but not ready to go

I braided her hair and hooked the braids behind her head, in the middle of her hair so you cant see the elastic or the ends of the braids

Here is the front with the braids "disappearing" into her mane of hair

The back

and ready for school. (as you can tell I think ties are my girls favorite accessory for the year)

puffy pigtails with braids

Second day puffy pigtails, Little princess hair still looked pretty good so we thought that we would spice it up a bit, we parted the hair down the middle to make pig tails and then sectioned off the front 2 pieces so this made 2 little pigtails, then I sectioned off a little piece of the pigtails and braided them back, crossed them and hooked them into the next pigtail, Here is a pic of me hooking the second braid across, OH and thanks Baby mermaid for our great photography!

Here are my next braided sections you can see how I pulled out little bits for the braids
Here is the second cross, made the same way as the first
Then I braided out the bottoms and tada you are done!
