figure 8 worm buns

Sunday is always my day to do the girls hair however I want so this was Baby Mermaids do for today!
I started by pulling pigtails to the back of her head

then i split the right pigtail in half and twisted it into a twisty thing and then twisted it around the left pigtail and back around the right to make a figure 8

then I just continued until all of her pigtails had been twisted around in the figure 8

stuck some bows on, (of course)

and your done! super easy but really cute!

she lost two teeth yesterday so we had to do a close up of the teeth!

More braids and pigtails day 2!

I love second day hair and its spring break, despite the snow, and Monkey Mans Birthday! I wanted something quick so we could be off to the zoo, so Baby Mermaids braids still looked o.k. a little fuzzy but I was in a hurry so I just looped the hair up into pincurl buns, they looked super cute and then I stuck our new Minnie mouse on safari (Zebra) bows in her hair! they turned out so cute that I thought that I would show ya!
Here she is after we have been to the zoo all day! they held up fairly well, I don't have step by steps because my camera was out of batteries this morning!

Here are the kids in shorts and light jackets in the snow! I couldn't resist documenting our "spring break"
Thanks for stopping by!

Messier Pigtail Buns

For today's hair I wanted something quick and up, I hate long hair just straggly especially for school, it always comes back all nasty! so this is what we did!

so we french braided back her bangs sections just in messy non-parted braids, easy you cant mess this up!

this is the side front braid, why I am showing this pic?

Then I pulled back the rest of her hair into lowish pigtails, I included the braids from the front

then you make funky messy buns! I really don't have my own way of a really messy bun, I have borrowed everyone else's ways and then usually I put bobby pins in them till they are not messy anymore

Then I added some bows from my web store! I know I am obsessed with bows

a pic from the back so you can see just how messy this do was! I hope ya enjoyed and I hope this helps inspire you to do this hair do on your little ones!

Barn door Hair

Hi, everyone! I have a new blog that is just going to focus on giveaways! I am really excited about offering this! I have a great giveaway for hair bows going on right now! The web site is chic-clips giveaway now on to the hair do, I called this the barn door because growing up my Aunt Lenore had a big red barn with a white X painted on it just like a classic barn door you would see in cartoons! I loved it and this hair do reminded me of her barn!

So I started with four pigtails and did twists in all four, no problem for all you hair ladies out there!

now I crossed them in a zig-zag pattern

Here they are all crossed around

now I wound the ends around the bases of the pigtails and hooked them with booby pins

added some huge-o bows and we are off

This is a pic of the next morning they had come unwound a little bit, I loved it this way (a little more messy) so we added bows again and were out the door again! YES two days with one do!

Day 3 hair challenge!

Here is the picture of her hair day three before we started

Yuck! glad I do my kids hair in the morning!

I just re combed her hair and put in new elastics, this time though I just put in the four pigtails I didn't hook in the top to the bottom ones...yet

Now I took the top pigtail braided it in two, and then hooked the braids to the bottom pigtails by crossing the middle ones!

Added bows of course!

and here she is out the door for the day!

my hair challenge day 2

I know how busy the holidays are and if your like me you are running a mile a minute but I still wanted my little girlie to look cute so I thought I would do a hair challenge!
I wanted to see how many days I could recycle a hair do, so this is day 2,

Day one hair after she woke up, I didn't get a picture of day one! sorry, but it was just a crooked part with long hair in the back and little pigtails with bows,

Now I have re-combed day one hair and am starting on day 2

I kept the crooked part going and put it in low pigtails

added some big Christmas bows

and she was out the door
see ya tomorrow

pigtails, diamonds and a hauser or two

Here is baby Mermaid in her new Christmas outfit, for some reason I have wanted a sock monkey shirt and bows and I finally got this adorable shirt from http://www.stitcheroos.com/
I love it and of course I had to make some bows! but on to the hair!

I parted out four little braids in the front and four in the back, then I took most of the hair and made two big pigtails

This is how I pulled the braids into the pigtails, instead of weaving them like I usually do I just pulled the outside straight up and the center ones crossed to the opposite pigtails, It was easy!

Here is a view from the top, but  it shows the hair really well!

With the bows, I just love the brown and red of these bows!

And one cute little monkey! Thanks for reading my blog!

mouse ears with junk

So Here is Baby Mermaid, we must be running late because Baby Mermaid has a coat on, but to be honest I just found these pics on my hard drive. so who knows!

I parted a triangle of hair and put it in two puffy braids

So I parted out the rest of her hair and put it in even pigtails
Briaded out her pigtais wraped them and secured them with bobby pins!

Stuck in some giant bows and your done!

From the top

punky braids and funky buns

Here we did Little Princesses hair for church, It turned out kinda wild but here ya go, we braided back the front part into two french braids Then we hooked the back part into elastics (as much as I could get to stay up)
So here is her braided pigtails with the back added in

turned those pigtails into messy buns using elastics and bobby pins

added bows from the front

and the side

Then we flipped the back hair and here is a pic from the back

Punky Piggie braids!

Here is our hairdo for today, Its kinda punky and fun.Split hair into pigtails this time they are kinda high

Braid the pigtails and loop them up with a second elastic

fluff them out and add some bows

from the front! can you see the teaser of what our giveaway is tomorrow? Its not the bows!
